Biography

Do Lessard is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice takes shape through travel, observation, and human interaction. Rooted in alternative communities, Do Lessard creates paintings characterized by color, depth, and atmosphere. Straddling the line between harmony and chaos, his works explore scenes from everyday life where intimacy, observation, and human experience intersect.

Drawing inspiration from the environments he encounters, he adopts an instinctive and immersive approach, creating in the heat of the moment to capture the energy of a place, an encounter, or a lived experience. Through painting, drawing, murals, and sculpture made from recycled materials, he creates sensitive works where tension and balance coexist.

A member of the international collective Propice and co-founder of the Ateliers Collectifs l’Affluent in Sherbrooke, Dominic Lessard grounds his practice in a thoughtful reflection on social realities, collective dynamics, and the cultural transformations of everyday life. His works offer spaces for contemplation where memory, observation, and human presence converge.
