Founded in 2025 in Montreal by a team with extensive experience in the visual arts community, Étude is an art space dedicated to artistic practices that emerge at the intersection of territory, memory, and public space.
From Inuk art to the international graffiti scene, the gallery brings together artists whose practices share a strong connection to autonomy, community, and non-institutional forms of transmission. Étude fosters close relationships with the artists it represents, supporting the development, dissemination, and promotion of their practices.
Étude favors an intuitive, and non-academic curatorial approach to art, attentive to visual cultures that have developed on the margins of traditional structures. Conceived as a place for encounters as much as for exhibitions, the gallery presents works selected with rigor and care.
