I’M ON POINT, ONESIKER (2024)

For its fall 2026 exhibition, Étude Gallery presents: ALLERS-RETOURS. The project spotlights the work of ONESIKER (@onesiker), a pioneer and catalyst of Montreal graffiti, though originally from Toulouse. By deconstructing his own tags into a calligraphic abstraction, ONESIKER puts forward an approach in which the letter becomes an intimate, deeply personal means of expression, carried by the dynamism of gesture, composition, movement, and colour.

A limited-edition monograph (150 copies) will be released at the opening — an exclusive collaboration between ONESIKER x ÉTUDE x AGCMTL.

A renowned music producer and multidisciplinary artist, Montreal's STACK MOOLAH (@stack_moolah) met ONESIKER in Montreal back in the 90s. He has upheld the tradition, and pushed the envelope (of quality), for several decades since.

DEBZA (@debzawashere) is a tattoo artist and graffiti writer originally from Toulouse, active in Montreal for several years. His style carries an explosive power, and his work a rich, distinctive script.

METRO (@tagetrap), a graffiti artist, is an old-timer who has kept up an active practice inspired by what the discipline's founding fathers started in the late 1970s. His daily practice pushes him to constantly seek out new techniques and new skills, which often emerge from the balancing act between mastery, spontaneity, and instinctive speed inherent to the transgressive nature of his art.

His brother, JEREMY DELL'ARMI (@jeremydellarmi), grew up in southwestern France, drawn to painting and drawing within the intimacy of his family. It was through photography, and the travels that come with graffiti, that he enriched his painting practice and his perception of art. His paintings reveal the raw, wild, spontaneous movement of an approach he keeps deliberately primitive.

MAX BURG (@signs_and_crimes) is a virtuoso painter born and based in Ahuntsic, Montreal. A typographer and conceptual artist, he bears witness here to the traces left by ONESIKER during his trips to Montreal over thirty years ago.

The exhibition was curated by ROKSE (@kseukseu) and Louis-Nicholas Coupal (@etudegalerie).
